Waffle Grid Base:
Any high-quality glass cutting system begins with a firm, accurate foundation. The ScoreLab is built on the Creator’s Waffle Grid, where each square is perfectly aligned to create true parallel, perpendicular, and straight reference lines. The grid surface helps retain small glass shards that may flake off during scoring and allows precise alignment of all modules for consistent results.
Cutting Head Module:
The Cutting Head Module holds the carbide cutting wheel in the optimal position for clean, consistent scoring. When engaged, the cutting head remains straight and aligned with the bottle. A slight backward tilt during scoring pressure is normal and helps maintain control. An Allen wrench is included for replacing the cutting head or adjusting the cutting angle.
Ball Bearing Module:
Each Ball Bearing Module fits precisely into the Waffle Grid, maintaining perfect alignment across the cutting surface. The rubber-coated bearings protect bottles from scratches, help prevent slipping during scoring, and use sealed bearings to keep out dirt, dust, and glass flakes. Periodically wipe the rubber coating with a cloth or toothbrush to remove any glass shards.
Twist-A-Cap Bottle Turning Aid:
Slip the Twist-A-Cap onto the top of the bottle to provide added grip and control while rotating the bottle during scoring, helping maintain smooth, even pressure.
Safety Glasses & Abrasive Stone:
Safety is a top priority when working with glass. The included Pyramex safety glasses should be worn at all times during scoring and bottle separation. After breaking the bottle, smooth the inside and outside edges using the included abrasive stone. Wet the stone before use and dip in water as needed until the edges are smooth.
